Everyone should put this place on their must try list before it's too late. I've lived in PG off and on for 10yrs so I remember when Pavels was open more then just Saturdays. As the years have gone by the owner has reduced his hours significantly and it was just about a 1-2 years ago he was still doing 2days a week.... So everyone go try this little gem, that has gotten some nods from food and wine magazines across the country. Because like l everything good " it must come to an end and the man deserves a break! The line could be 50 people deep and it's still 5 Stars for me. ~ Thank you Pavel's

It's too bad this bakery isn't open more often! One day is not enough and as a local, it would just be nice to be able to visit the bakery more without tourists clogging up the line. So my advice to anyone whether trying out Pavel's for the first time or not, just go early and also know what you want so that you are not holding up the long line that forms outside. I once waited 30 mins from when i got there, to paying. Also BRING CASH. Aside from that, the pastries are to die for! My favorites are the cinnamon rolls & chocolate croissants. They are not overpriced and service is quick (especially when you know what you want).

We walked a few blocks to Pavel's so we did not have to find parking. When we arrived, there was a line at 9am. While we waited in line, we got some coffee from a little coffee shop across the street. The line moves fairly quickly and when we were able to go inside it was warm and the smell of bread was wonderful. The staff is friendly. A lot of the items were sold out by the time we placed our order. However, we were still able to order the chocolate croissant, danish, sandwiches, cookie, and bread. Then we moved to the cashier and paid in cash. And waited a few minutes for our order. Once we received our order, we couldn't resist and started eating our sandwiches right away. Everything was delicious. When we go back, we will probably arrive earlier and anything we order will be delicious.
